Get Adjusted to Life at Cedarville

International Orientation is specifically designed for international students, MKs, and TCKs who are transitioning from another country to begin studying in the United States, andbegins a few days before Getting Started Weekend which welcomes all new freshmen and transfer students to Cedarville.

Arriving early gives you time toopportunity to participate in intensive seminars and activities to help you acclimate to life in the U.S.,get familiar with campus, and make connections with other international students, staff, and faculty.

What Does Orientation Include?

You'll take part in helpful sessions while joining in on fun activities. Orientation sessions cover everything from academic support to banking, employment, and cultural adjustment. Transportation from Dayton International Airport is provided, as well as meals for each student who attends orientation.

Who Should Register?

If you are a new international student to Cedarville University, you are required to attend orientation and will need to register. MK and TCK students who recently transitioned to the U.S. from outside the country are highly encouraged to attend International Orientation.

Can My Family Come?

Having your family with you as you settle into college can be a meaningful part of the transition! Your family is welcome to be part of your orientation experience, and parents can attend sessions designed just for them. Because of growing enrollment and limited space, attendance may be limited.

Family meals can be purchased on campus or in town. Cedarville University isn't able to accommodate guests overnight, so families are responsible for their own housing. Check out the many local hotelsthat are available.
